Raindrop Technique is a powerful, non-invasive procedure which is performed by sequentially anointing the feet, back, and spine with oils while energy is transmitted through the hands of a practitioner, which brings structural and electrical alignment to the body in a relaxing and invigorating manner through applying the power of essential oils. The therapeutic grade essential oils used are immune enhancing, they support the body's natural defenses, as well as the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, digestive, nervous, and other body systems. These oils, which are high in antioxidants, are also mood elevating and antiseptic, creating an unfavorable environment for harmful viruses and bacteria that can hibernate in the body. Essential oils are known to boost stamina and energy, help you relax, help manage stress and frustration and promote overall health, vitality, and longevity.
A typical Raindrop session takes about one hour to perform during which seven single essential oils, two oil blends and two massage oils are applied to the skin. Following the application of the oils, a warm damp towel (layered between two dry towels) is placed on the clients back to allow the oils to deeply penetrate the skin for 5-10 minutes as they rest.
The traditional Gary Young Protocol uses the oils listed below. However, each session can be personalized: different oils may be chosen for your benefit and needs.
Raindrop Technique is one of the safest, most non-invasive, regimens available for spinal health. It is also an invaluable method for promoting healing from within using topically applied essential oils. Many recipients feel the benefits of the oils for several days, up to a week, after the session.
Raindrop Technique originated in the 1980s from the research of D. Gary Young, who worked with a Lakota medicine man named Wallace Black Elk. It incorporates certain Native American concepts, including a special technique called “feather stroking” which is similar to a massage technique called “effleurage.“ Raindrop integrates the “Vitaflex” technique, a therapeutic maneuver adapted from Oriental acupuncture, acupressure, and reflexology. It involves the gentle pressing and rolling of the Raindrop facilitator’s fingertips upon the receiver’s body surface at specific meridians, or reflex points. The term, Vitaflex, meaning “vitality through the reflexes” was coined by Dr. Stanley Burroughs.
